CMF Starts Rolling Out Nothing OS 4.0 Update for Phone 1 Users in India

I checked my phone this morning and noticed that Nothing OS 4.0 has finally started showing up for CMF users in India. From what I can see, the update is first reaching CMF Phone 1, while Phone 2 Pro users may have to wait a little longer.

There hasn’t been any big announcement from CMF yet. Still, people on Telegram groups and X are already sharing screenshots of the update screen, which confirms that the rollout has begun. Like most updates, it’s coming in batches, so not everyone will get it on the same day.

After installing Nothing OS 4.0, the phone feels slightly smoother. App opening feels quicker, scrolling is cleaner, and the overall UI looks a bit more refined. Nothing hasn’t added anything flashy here. It’s more about fixing small things that users notice in daily use.

Dark mode looks better than before, especially at night. The interface still keeps that clean Nothing-style look, without unnecessary icons or clutter. If you were expecting major visual changes, this update is more about stability and polish.

Right now, the update is confirmed for CMF Phone 1 in India. The CMF Phone 2 Pro should get it soon, depending on how fast the rollout moves. If your phone hasn’t received it yet, that’s normal.

To check manually, go to Settings > System > Software Update. Make sure your battery is charged and important files are backed up before installing.

Overall, Nothing OS 4.0 feels like a quiet but useful update. It may not grab headlines, but for regular users, these small improvements do make the phone feel better over time.
